We care because you care: Our commitment to Australia’s medicos

Australia is a caring country. We look out for each other, we help those who are less fortunate, and we lend a hand in times of need.

It would sound cliché if it wasn’t so true, but that sense of mateship and care is deeply ingrained in the national psyche.

For myself, when I arrived in Australia from Slovenia all those years ago, I quickly felt as though I was just as much a part of the furniture as anyone else. That feeling of belonging led to a sense of community, and when you’re a part of a community, you naturally take care of each other.

I quickly discovered Australia was a place where the wellbeing of others was considered in everyday life. And this is no more evident in our world-class health system.

Australia ranks first among OECD countries for equity and healthcare outcomes, and holds third place for overall healthcare performance (only behind high-achieving Norway and the Netherlands).

And for a country of around 25 million people, that’s a large chunk of the workforce dedicated towards delivering this health care for its people..

There were more than 642,000 health practitioners working in their registered professions in Australia in 2020, which includes 105,300 medical practitioners, 350,000 nurses and midwives, 21,500 dental practitioners, and 166,000 allied health professionals.

So, that begs the question — why is a finance broking director writing about Australia’s health professionals?

Well, in a nutshell, we care about them. A lot.

At Pristine Finance, we believe in supporting those who dedicate their lives to caring for others, and that’s the simple reason behind our specialised financial services for medical professionals.

We understand that providing financial services to medical professionals is by no means the same as caring for human lives. But by the same token, we firmly believe that by offering informed and specific financial solutions, we can add genuine value to our clients’ lives so they can concentrate on keeping Australians healthy while enjoying the rewards of their hard work.

Our aim is to make their financial journey smoother, allowing them to focus on what they do best – caring for patients and improving lives.

We have built a large part of our company around the unique traits and needs of medical professionals so we can deliver an exceptionally personalised service tailored to their specific requirements. We also work closely with dedicated financial advisors who are well-versed in the medico industry and have specific training in areas such as tax planning for medical practices.

We’re in lockstep with their demanding schedules, long hours, and shift work. We get that they work hard so they want to make the most of their efforts. And because of this, we’ll always be there for them — whether it’s at their office, hospital, home, after hours or on the weekend.

And when we say we’ll be there no matter what — we mean it. I know the layout of the St George Hospital like the back of my hand, I’ve happily attended auctions on behalf of my clients, and I’ve even been known to lend a hand on building sites when an extra labourer was needed!

So, to Australia’s medicos — thanks for taking care of us. We’re here for you just like you’re there for us.
