Meet Reva, the corporate accountant who also happens to be a wife, mother of four, and a passionate property investor. Juggling a demanding career, a busy household with children going through their formative years, and a growing property portfolio might seem like a challenge, but Reva and her husband have proven that it’s not only possible, but it can also be incredibly rewarding. With three residential properties, two of which now boast income-generating granny flats, their success is a testament to their determination and strategic approach.

“It’s definitely a juggling act,” Reva admits. “But property has always been our passion – a way to build security for our family and something we genuinely enjoy.” Reva’s property journey began over 22 years ago (at the age of 23. I was still single. Purchased 1st property, villa, in 2002, sold it in 2004 to purchase a house. 8 months later purchased the 2nd property.) fuelled by a desire for a brighter future. She recalls the challenges of their first investment, “Saving for the deposit felt like an uphill battle.” But with each property, their confidence grew, and they continued to seek expert advice to navigate the complexities of the market.

A Partnership Built on Trust and Shared Passion for Property

Reva and her husband attribute much of their success to their strong partnership with Pristine Finance. “Their customer service is amazing, they go beyond the numbers, actively seeking opportunities, analysing returns, and offering advice informed by their own experiences as property investors.”

This proactive approach proved invaluable when the couple faced challenges and considered selling one of their properties. “Pristine Finance helped us to weather the storm and hold onto our investment,” Reva says, grateful for their guidance.

Reva values the open and honest communication she shares with Pristine Finance. “I trust their judgment ” she affirms. “I can always count on them for honest feedback and insights. Their willingness to challenge our thinking has been essential to our long-term success.”

This collaborative approach, combined with the couple’s drive and determination, has allowed them to build a property portfolio that they’re truly proud of.

Maximising Existing Assets for Maximum Returns

One recent example of their successful collaboration is the addition of a granny flat to one of their properties. Initially, Reva and her husband were considering purchasing another investment property. However, Pristine Finance recognised potential within their existing assets.

Marinko suggested adding a granny flat to one of their properties, utilising $120,000 from their offset account to fund the construction. This strategic move not only avoided the need for additional borrowing but also generated an estimated $24,960 per annum in rental income, significantly outperforming the $7,908 per annum interest reduction they would have achieved by leaving the funds in the offset account. This translated to a net gain of $17,052 per annum, while also adding significant value to their property portfolio.

“Pristine Finance always goes above and beyond to help us maximise our investments,” Reva says. “They’re not just interested in the financial transaction; they truly care about our long-term success.”

Reva’s Advice: Find Your Trusted Partner and Start Early

For aspiring investors, Reva offers simple advice: “Find a trusted partner who understands your unique situation, who is invested in your success, and willing to go above and beyond. And start early, even if it’s small. It may seem daunting, but with the right support, it’s achievable.”

Reva and her husband’s story are an inspiring testament to the fact that with the right mindset, support, and a dash of passion, it is possible to build a property portfolio while raising a family. Their journey shows that balancing a busy life with ambitious financial goals is not only possible but can also lead to remarkable success.
